Q and A Friday – Kez’s!

Over the years we have had the pleasure of working alongside some truly passionate people, who were inspired to create delicious products for the many FODMAP Friendly eaters worldwide.

We decided to sit down one on one with each of our Certified manufacturers, and allow you to learn a little more about the people behind the brands you love!

Tell us about the origins of Kez’s?

We’re a proud family business that started in 1991 in Kez’s kitchen. Kez was baking chocolate chip cookies and word got around- they were delicious! Together with her mum Helen they had a vision to build something special. Joined by their brother and son Michael in 1994 they put their heart and soul into developing delicious recipes including some gluten free, so that no one had to miss out on honest, indulgent treats. All these years later and almost everyone one of our products continue to be created by Helen in her kitchen at home.

Why did you decide to include a FODMAP Friendly range into your line of products?

We pride ourselves on making sure that nobody misses out on something delicious and have been strong in the Free From category for many years particularly with Gluten and Dairy Free. We received feedback from dietitians and consumers calling for FODMAP Friendly products and this seemed like a logical extension for our Kez’s Free brand.

How has the FODMAP Friendly Certification Program helped grow your business?

It has helped to broaden the appeal of our Kez’s Free brand and helped to promote this brand as a genuine player in the Free From market.

What is the best feedback you have received from customers about the FODMAP Friendly range of cereals and bars?

“I am sitting eating a bowl of your tasty cereal and wanted to say a HUGE thanks. My requirements are low FODMAP and Low Fructose so it’s difficult to find foods that I can eat (that are delicious too). I was delighted when I saw your cereal on the shelf at Coles and even more so when I tasted it. So thanks you! A lot! Keep up the amazing work”.

Where can people find more information about your brand, including the Certified line of FODMAP Friendly products?

We are launching a new website in October 2015 www.kez.com.au this will be the best place for consumers to get information on all of our products. Also from October 2015 consumers can  follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
