Cassava flour is very similar in texture to many gluten free flours, such as coconut or almond flours. It is very mild in flavour, and retains a soft texture, and it’s a great nut-free alternative. Just watch your portion size, cassava flour is low FODMAP at a 15g serving size!

What sets cassava flour apart?

The cassava plant is a staple crop to millions in parts of Africa, Asia and in South America. The plant root is a carbohydrate-laden tuber, similar to potato, taro and yam. The fact that it is nut, grain and gluten free makes it suitable for those following paleo, vegetarian and vegan diets.
