What inspired FreeFOD?

“We have one core purpose, to give people the freedom to eat the foods they love!

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), diverticulitis, Crohn’s and various food intolerances are prevalent within our family, and a surprising high number of our friends. After discovering the low FODMAP diet in 2017, our family put their various skill-sets to work combining food science, sales, marketing and design into what would be the beginnings of FreeFOD. After a long road of laboratory and consumer testing, we were finally happy with our initial range – the world’s first powdered substitute for onion and garlic that is low FODMAP certified. That is just the start for us though, we have plenty more to come!” 

 

FREEFOD LOW FODMAP GARLIC REPLACER

1 pack is equivalent to 20 cloves of garlic flavour (72g)

Ingredients: Maltodextrin, Natural Flavour (Garlic)

Replace 1 clove of garlic with 1 teaspoon of FreeFOD garlic replacer in any recipe. Sprinkle through the product and mix well, under heat if possible. Add to water or solid based foods and avoid adding to oil like many recipes show. Simply add later in the cooking process in this situation.

FREEFOD LOW FODMAP ONION REPLACER

1 pack is equivalent to the flavour strength of 20 onions (72g).

Ingredients: Maltodextrin, Natural Flavour (Onion)

Replace 1 medium onion with 1 teaspoon of FreeFOD onion replacer in any recipe. Sprinkle through the product and mix well, under heat if possible. Add to water or solid based foods and avoid adding to oil like many recipes show. Simply add later in the cooking process in this situation.
