The GI Institute is the world’s first global education initiative dedicated exclusively to gastrointestinal health. Co-founded by FODMAP Friendly and the University of Michigan, the GI Institute was developed to provide cutting-edge, evidence-based education to health professionals and students worldwide. Its mission is to upskill and empower practitioners with the latest research and treatment strategies for managing digestive conditions—including IBS, IBD, coeliac disease, and functional gastrointestinal disorders.
As an educational arm of the FODMAP Friendly group, the GI Institute’s flagship course, FODMAP Institute, offers comprehensive training in the low FODMAP diet, backed by world-leading GI experts, dietitians, and researchers. The Institute also supports innovation through its Knowledge & Research program, funding new research in digestive health and partnering with trusted, evidence-based organisations to further enhance clinical outcomes for patients globally.
