Low FODMAP Banana Oat Pancakes

Low FODMAP Banana Oat pancakes are the ideal breakfast, taking only 15 minutes to prepare and cook, they are easy and quick to make during the morning rush. Banana oat pancakes are highly nutritious, not to mention yummy, containing dietary fibre, vitamins and minerals. They are also a great source of long-lasting energy, keeping you energised and full throughout the day!

Don’t forget to be careful of serving sizes. This recipe is only low FODMAP at one serving.

Low FODMAP Banana Oat Pancakes

Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 10 mins

Ingredients:

  • 1 Firm/unripe banana
  • 1 tsp Baking power
  • 1/3 cup Rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup Lo-Fo plain flour (or other low FODMAP flour)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Olive oil

Method:

  1. 1. Mash banana into a bowl.
  2. 2. Sift baking powder and Lo-Fo plain flour into a bowl, then mix with rolled oats and egg.
  3. 3. Grease a non-stick pan with olive oil and heat on the stove.
  4. 4. Use ¼ cup mixture per pancake and dollop on the stove. Cook until small bubbles form on the top of the pancakes. Flip and then continue cooking until the underside is golden brown. Grease the pan in between batches of pancakes.
  5. 5. Serve with maple syrup or low FODMAP jam.
