Low FODMAP Hot Cocoa

Feel like a mouth-watering smooth hot or cold cocoa drink? This low FODMAP Cocoa Mix is a perfect treat at any time of the year and is easy to prepare.
To make this low FODMAP, FODMAP Friendly certified Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips are combined in the cocoa powder mixture and stirred into FODMAP Friendly certified Liddells Lactose Free or Arla Lacto Free Milk.

Low FODMAP Hot Cocoa

Cocoa Powder Serves: 16

Ingredients

Low FODMAP milk – almond milk or try FODMAP Friendly Certified Liddells Lactose Free Milk or Arla Lacto Free Milk

Low FODMAP Cocoa Powder (16 serve sizes):
1 cup (100grams) cocoa powder
4 Tbsp cornstarch or arrowroot
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
7oz (200grams) Enjoy Life Foods Semi-Sweet Mini Chips are FODMAP Friendly certified chocolate

Method:

COCOA POWDER:
1. Add the cocoa, cornstarch / arrowroot, sugar, Enjoy Life chocolate chips, salt, and cinnamon to a food processor or high-speed blender & blend until you have a uniform powder (it’s ok if some bits of chocolate remain).
2. Carefully transfer to a 24-oz (700mL) or larger air-tight container or mason jar.

TO SERVE:

1. Heat 1 cup of low FODMAP milk in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring in 2-3 tablespoons of the Low FODMAP Cocoa Powder.
2. Once combined and warmed (approximately 5-7 minutes), pour into a mug & top with some chocolate chips.

Remember to stick to the serve sizes above to ensure low FODMAP.
