In 2016, Fructaid® was developed to alleviate and prevent digestive troubles caused by fructose malabsorption. Before Fructaid®, the only option was to limit fructose consumption.

What is the inspiration behind Fructaid®?

The company behind the brand Fructaid® was founded in 1994 in Germany with the desire and motivation to develop products that promote healthy eating. Products that offer good value for money, so that as many people as possible can enjoy doing something for their well-being.

How did the company begin?

In 1995, they were one of the first companies in Germany to develop and market a lactase product. Lactrase® has now been the No. 1 brand of lactase products in German pharmacies for more than 20 years.

In 2006, they were the first supplier in Germany to launch a product containing the enzymes alpha-galactosidase and saccharase for the breakdown of oligosaccharides. Three years later, they introduced the successor product Oligase, which uses a combination of four enzymes to break down indigestible oligo- and polysaccharides into easily digestible simple sugars.

After more than 20 years as an expert and market leader in the field of lactose intolerance, in 2016 they introduced Fructaid®, a solution for people with the widespread intestinal fructose intolerance.
