Spirulina is low FODMAP!

At a serving size of 5g = 1 teaspoon, the blue-green microalgae is safely low FODMAP!

Why consume spirulina?

Enjoy this nutrient powder powerhouse with confidence! Being extremely high in protein, vitamin B12, essential fatty acids, beta-carotene, nucleic acids, calcium, phosphorus, the stuff is nutritious! And.. FODMAPpalicious! Why? At its tested serving size of 5g, its FODMAP sugars are below their acceptable limits, therefore spirulina is safe to consume when in the elimination phase of the low FODMAP diet.

Use with caution

Despite its nutrient-density, spirulina has in some cases been found to interact with prescription medications. Please consult your healthcare practitioner or FODMAP Friendly App Dietary Specialist prior to use to avoid unwanted or undesirable side-effects.

Eat with confidence!
