How To Have A FODMAP Friendly Christmas – Part Two

Posted on December 21, 2015

One of the most common difficulties we hear of from our FODMAP Friendly community, is the task of balancing a low FODMAP lifestyle during the Christmas period. With the festivities in full swing at this time of year, there are mince pies, Christmas cakes and rum balls at every turn, making dietary adherence a difficult task!

To help make things a little easier for everyone, we’ve put together a two part series of FODMAP Friendly tips, for during the Christmas period. Find part one HERE.

HOLIDAY TIPS (1)

Bring some Certified FODMAP Friendly products along – you know that the green logo means you can eat with confidence!

Rationally consider your options – do you really need to taste everything at the party?!

Watch your alcohol intake – this can impair decision making!

Have a contingency plan – keep some IBS relief strategies up your sleeve (our blog archives have a collection of them!)

Relax about it all! Stress can play a role in IBS type symptoms, so try not to overthink things too much!

Don’t forget to let us know over on our Facebook page if you have any extra tips and tricks for this time of the year.
