How did your company begin?

Pure Bred Gluten Free was founded to help those with coeliac disease and gluten sensitivities love bread again. Sure, there are more gluten free choices than ever, but if you’ve ever tried them we’re sure you’ll agree, their taste and texture leave much to be desired.

Our passionate bakers looked at the gluten free market and then went to work. The result? You’ll be able to figure that out with your very first bite.  We’re glad to say that our exclusive recipes have changed people’s lives, and we’re constantly looking forward to improve upon our tried and true, delicious and healthy ingredients. We are proud to bring you a complete range of delicious, soft and moist breads and rolls that are low fat, high fiber, soy free, wheat free and nut free.


What is the inspiration behind your range?

After looking at what products were currently available to consumers and then listening to what consumers wanted we saw there was a large gap in the market.  A lot of the leading gluten free brands all had one thing in common, poor nutritional values.  After conducting consumer research, we found that this was a big issue with consumers.  So, we set about developing a range of breads, rolls bagels that not only tasted great but were able to offer consumers a healthier choice that what was currently available. We started with our unmistakably delicious taste and soft, moist texture. Then, of course, PureBred Gluten Free bread is much higher in fibre and lower in fat, calories and sugar than any other gluten free products. There’s a PureBred Gluten Free bread for every occasion and taste – all with that unmistakable Purebred bread taste and texture. There’s never been a gluten free bread that tastes this good, and is so good for you!

Why did you create your particular certified products?

We created them to meet the growing demand from gluten free consumers for healthy, great tasting, gluten free products.  For years, the only choices for gluten free consumers tasted bland and were full of fat and sugar with little or no fibre, which is a big concern for gluten free consumers.  Fibre is an important part of any diet, but when it comes to gluten free breads it is especially hard to find products that have are able to offer high fibre content.

What are your own personal experiences with digestive health?

We believe digestive health is key to a happy life and know from experience the struggles our consumers face on a daily basis, when consumers choose a gluten free that it should have delicious taste and soft, moist texture and be high in fiber and lower in fat, calories and sugar and that is what our products deliver. We believe our consumers shouldn’t have to compromise on taste for their digestive health.

 
Why did you want to certify your products?

We certified our products because it important for our consumers and makes their shopping experience easier.  Pure Bred Gluten free are proud to produce FODMAP Friendly certified bread and the team at PureBred Gluten Free love what they do, and are really proud to sell their delicious FODMAP Friendly certified breads.

What separates your products from others available on the market?

There are 3 pillars we base our products on – Taste, Texture and Nutrition. Purebred products taste and feel like “normal” bread.  Many gluten free consumers leave bread out of their diet entirely because they can’t find products that taste like the bread they use to eat.  And then there is the nutritional side of things.  Some gluten free consumers have no choice but to follow a gluten free diet for medical reasons whether that be celiac disease or some form of gluten sensitivity.  Others follow a gluten free diet as a lifestyle choice, believing it will help them lose weight.  However, when you look at a lot of gluten free breads on the market they are full of fat and sugar.  It is because of this a lot of gluten free consumers don’t include bread in their weekly shop. Purebred is the only brand that can give consumers the nutritional benefits they are looking for. All our breads, rolls and bagels are very high in fibre, very low in sugar and very low in fat.


Are there more products to be added to your range in future?

Yes, we are constantly monitoring consumer trends and getting feedback from consumers that currently purchase our products and from our retail partners.  We have recently developed an amazing range of delicious gluten free breads that consumers can bake at home and enjoy fresh, crusty bread.  An option that gluten free consumers haven’t had before.
