Introducing New Australian FODMAP Friendly Certified Manufacturer – Mamaji’s!

Their FODMAP Friendly Certified simmer sauce range include Paprikaan Spinach and Mango Exotic!

We had a chat with the team behind Mamaji’s, to find out what inspired the creation of these beautifully flavoured, home-style sauces.

HOW DID MAMAJI’S BEGIN?

It began in 2007, on a cold Melbourne Winter’s day with mother and son team, Sati and Ameet. They set out to create authentic curry sauces for others to enjoy.

It started with the creation of an aromatic signature masala, called Mamaji’s Masala, which laid the foundation for the range of home-style sauces.

WHAT IS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND YOUR FODMAP FRIENDLY CERTIFIED SAUCES?

The inspiration is that onion and garlic are not mandatory ingredients needed to make a beautifully flavoured Indian, home-style sauce.

Activating ginger or cumin seeds, which are both low FODMAP, to set the flavour tone early is important and our process consistently achieves this flavour for people to enjoy. We hope to help create a stress-free meal.

WHAT SEPARATES YOUR SAUCES FROM THE OTHERS AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET?

Paprikaan Spinach

There is nothing like Paprikaan Spinach on the market anywhere so we are proud of our ‘green one’ being a refreshing new edition to home-style sauces. Paprikaan Spinach is inspired from Goa in India, being a coastal style sauce full of greens and no tomatoes. It would normally have been a dish associated with seafood. Paprikaan Spinach is not something you will find in any restaurant and with the freshly squeezed lemon with spinach, capsicum and fennel. It is something you will need to try!

Mango Exotic

Mango is a challenging ingredient for those following a low FODMAP diet to enjoy. Now with the right spice, flavour and sweetness, Mamaji’s Mango Exotic brings mango’s deliciousness back in the diet. It is simple and does not contain onion or garlic. Mamaji’s range needed something with a little sweetness and this is it. To compliment the sweetness, lots of fresh veggies are chopped and gives a wonderful fresh infusion with a little spice.

ARE THERE MORE PRODUCTS TO BE ADDED TO YOUR RANGE IN THE FUTURE?

Yes, Mamaji’s chefs have many more products that are in development. Stay tuned!

WHERE CAN PEOPLE BUY MAMAJI’S SAUCES?

Mamaji’s can be purchased online and in independent stores across Australia.

You can also find Mamaji’s at Farmer’s Markets or Festivals in Metro and Regional Victoria.
